We are living in an extraordinary time. It is amazing that so many traditions point to our epoch as the time for the End of Time, the Second Coming, the beginning of the New Cycle of Existence in human evolution, the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth, and others. The world is watching anxiously for the fulfillment of all these prophesies.

The approaching ‘mythological’ year 2012 reflects the convergence of universal wisdom from many cultural and religious prophecies of peoples from around the Earth. The specific timing of 2012, however, originates as a gift from the ancient Maya, the world's supreme timekeepers.

From the photo above we can see that on 12.21.2012 a rare alignment between the December solstice sun with the Galactic centre will occur. This Cross was recognized by the Maya, and was called the Crossroads or Sacred Tree.

For the Mayan Initiates the significance of this Cosmic event was enormous. This is the end of a galactic day of 25,625 years divided into five cycles of 5,125 years. We are at the end of the fifth and final 5,125 year cycle! Following Mayan concepts of cyclic time and World Age transitions, this is as much about beginnings as endings. In fact, it was considered by the ancient Mayans to signify the creation of a new World Age.

The Mayan say that at the beginning and end of these cycles, i.e. every 5,125 years, the central Sun or light of the galaxy emits a ray of light so intense and so brilliant that it illuminates the entire Universe. It is from this burst of light that the planet Earth and the whole Solar System comes into galactic synchronization with the rest of the Universe.

The Mayans compare this burst to the pulse of the Universe, beating once every 5,125 years. It is these pulses that mark the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next. The pulse itself (called Katún) lasts 20 years and gives the ‘creative energy’ for the New Cycle.

The transition period is called 'The Time of No Time'. It is an evolutionary period, short but intense, inside the grand cycles where great changes take place to thrust us into a new age of evolution as individuals and as humankind.

In accordance to the Mayan calendar now we are in a transition period, i.e. in ‘The Time of No Time', when the last cycle of 5,125 years and with it the whole cycle of 25,625 years will be concluded and we will enter into an enormous new cycle of 25,625 years. The date 12.21.2012 is the precise date of the cosmic alignment and symbolises the end of the transition period. 

One of the most amazing features (aspects) of the Mayan Calendar and the prophecy about 2012 is that the count of their Calendar stops on 12.21.2012!  The next world, which will last 5,125 years and will start the big new Cycle of 25, 625 years, is blank! This means that it depends on us and our choice of evolution. According to the Mayan prophecy, after 2012 humankind will either begin a glorious new cycle of 25,625 years of cosmic civilisation (let us call it the ‘positive Apocalypse’), or will intensify the process of self-destruction (in this respect - the ‘negative Apocalypse’). 

For example, Carlos Barrios, from the Eagle Clan of the Maya of Guatemala, trained as an Ajq'ij in the Maya tradition, says: "Our planet can be renewed or ravaged. Now is the time to awaken and take action...The prophesized changes are going to happen, but our attitude and actions determine how harsh or mild they are.” "The world will not end. It will be transformed... Everything will change...Change is accelerating now, and it will continue to accelerate...If the people of the earth can get to this 2012 date in good shape, without having destroyed too much of the Earth, we will rise to a new, higher level. But to get there we must transform enormously powerful forces that seek to block the way...Humanity will continue, but in a different way. Material structures will change. From this we will have the opportunity to be more human...".

Another great Native American tradition - that of the Hopi People - prophesises in powerful apocalyptic visions a great shift in the destiny of humankind: This prophecy does not give specific dates (as do some other Native American prophecies), but refers to certain symbolic events which will have a world-wide influence.  The final stage, called the 'Great Day of Purification', has also been described as a 'mystery egg', in which the forces of the swastika and the Sun, plus a third force symbolised by the colour red, culminate either in Total Rebirth or Total Annihilation - we don't know which yet, but the choice is ours.  (A Hopi Prophecy, Acorn Publishing, Glastonbury, p. 44.)

For the Hopi People the hope lies in the new humanity which is emerging - 'the Rainbow People, the Sun Dancers, who exist in every country, in every nation and in every land'.  'They dream the Rainbow dream, the dream of unity and love through divine transformation'. (Ibid, p. 8, see also p. 16.)

It is difficult to imagine a more crucial and responsible time for humankind than our present epoch. Our epoch is the critical stage of human evolution on Earth. Depending on the choice of humankind as a whole, the result will be either spiritual resurrection and entry into the new cycle of evolution, or human catastrophe and starting the evolutionary process all over again (as in the case of Atlantis). Metaphorically speaking, humankind as a whole will enter either into the 'black hole' of collapse, or into the ‘white source of Light’ giving birth to a New Humankind living in a New Heaven and a New Earth.

Dr. Jose Arguelles in his book, Mayan Factor (1987), was the first to detail the cosmology of the ancient Maya and their spectacular fractal mathematics, while also broadcasting the fact of their vast Long Count Calendar Cycle ending in our lifetimes. According to Dr. Jose Arguelles, the transition period for this great apocalyptic change started on the 16-17 of August 1987, the time of Harmonic Convergence.  August 1987 was a critical point, triggering the final chapter of the Great Cycle - the period of 1987-2012.

In August 1987 millions of spiritual people in the world celebrated the end of a great cycle of time - 25,625 years (covering practically all of human history) - and the beginning of a new one associated with the ascent of humankind to a new state of cosmic consciousness.  A beautiful vision based on the Hopi prophecy says that 144,000 Sun Dance enlightened teachers (representing all humankind) are invited to dance at sacred places all over the Earth and celebrate the beginning of the new epoch in human civilisation.

As a part of my destiny I was directly involved in Harmonic Convergence (see Personal Involvement). Here it is interesting to note that being born on the 15 of August 1941, my native chart has many common features with the chart of Harmonic Convergence. Perhaps this finally led me to celebrate Harmonic Convergence in one of the most sacred places in England - Glastonbury, the Abby Grounds. On the 16-17th of August 1987 I was one of the leaders of Harmonic Convergence in Glastonbury, which marked the beginning of the great transition to the new cycle of 25,625 years. In Glastonbury, on the Abby Grounds, representative from the 5 continents danced the sacred dance Paneurhythmy and performed Mandala Meditation to mark the beginning of the New Era.

In March 1995 in Ireland I published the book The Second Coming which describes the prophecies of the world religions for our time and reveals the essence of the coming new cosmic civilisation. In 1998 the book The Second Coming was translated and published in Bulgaria. In 1999, based on the book a spiritual group was formed and it started inspiring work for the realisation of the Testament of Truth for our time and actualising the ‘positive Apocalypse’ in the life of humankind now. 

It is of crucial importance to channel the Divine energies from the Central Sun of the Universe and to begin our co-creative work for the new cosmic civilisation. This Web Site is consecrated to the coming New Reality and the beginning of the New Cycle of Existence.

In this section of the Web Site we present the inspiring and challenging work which we are doing in this crucially important transition time towards 12.21.2012.  The focus of the work now is the Assemblies on the Sacred Mountain Rila in Bulgaria. In fact the Rila Assemblies develop further the pattern of the Harmonic Convergence Celebration in Glastonbury. Our aim is to link with the Cosmic-spiritual Sun at the Centre of the Universe (i.e. the ray of light so intense and so brilliant that it illuminates the entire Universe) and to channel the energies of the New Genesis. This is connected with gathering the spiritual fruits of the outgoing cycle in the life of humankind (5,125 years), meeting the Second Coming of the Divine Masters, and entering into the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth, where humankind will start the New Cycle of Existence. And of course, one of the main practices in the Rila Assemblies is the sacred dance Paneurhythmy – the Gateway to the Garden of Paradise on Earth.

Of course, the world will not end at the end of 2012 and we will continue our work consecrated to the great New Cycle of evolution, but the successful common work now will prepare humankind for the positive outcome of this turning point in history. We simply do not have another option - the alternative is a very painful gradual planetary self-destruction.

So, beloved Friends, let us embark on a glorious journey to the new cosmic civilisation and prepare the space for the positive outcome of the mythological 12.21.2012 event.
