Leon Moscona

Leon Moscona comes from Bulgaria, which has a strong spiritual tradition, including the Patron Saints of Europe St. Cyril and St. Methodius, the Bogomils in the X century, the great spiritual Master Beinsa Douno (1864-1944) and many others.  His life began in Bulgaria, then a communist country, and he completed his education in music in communist Russia.  His Mission started in Bulgaria, then developed in Western Europe and now his life is an important factor in the spiritual situation on Earth. Many articles and books could be written about the extraordinary spiritual journey of Leon Moscona and his 'celestial deeds' on Earth. In my Letter of Endorsement I would like to emphasise some of Leon Moscona's main achievements, which are of enormous importance for contemporary humankind.

1. Spreading the Teaching of the Bulgarian Master Beinsa Douno in Russia

Many initiates and philosophers (most notably Rudolf Steiner, Beinsa Douno, M. Blavatsky, Alice Bailey, A. Schpengler and others) predicted that the new human culture, after the present Western European culture, would come from the Slav people and especially from Russia.

At the beginning of the XX century the great spiritual Master Beinsa Douno, in Bulgaria, unfolded a Divine Teaching for the coming new culture. For him Bulgaria was the 'laboratory' where the Teaching had to emerge and then to spread to Russia and the rest of the world. The Heavens (and the Master) chose Leon Moscona to be the herald of his Teaching in Russia. In 1973 Leon Moscona, with great personal risk, brought the Teaching of the Master Beinsa Douno, especially the sacred dance Paneurhythmy, to Moscow, Russia. The communist authorities were not happy with his spiritual activities and he was not allowed to defend his Ph.D. thesis there. Needless to say this caused many personal problems for Leon Moscona. The Paneurhythmy circle however was set in motion and since then there are many Paneurhythmy circles all over Russia, in which hundreds and thousands of people participate.

The spreading of the Paneurhythmy and the Teaching of the Master Beinsa Douno by Leon Moscona in Russia was an important metahistorical event. Over the past 33 years thousands of Russian and other Slav people have been developing the living seeds of the new solar culture which Leon Moscona with a group of spiritual friends planted in 1973.

The deepening into the esoteric depths of the Paneurhythmy (and the Teaching of the Master Beinsa Douno) and spreading it in the West was also an important spiritual task in the Mission of Leon Moscona. Over the years he introduced the Paneurhythmy and the Teaching of the Master to spiritual centres in many countries. Even in Bulgaria, the birthplace the Master Beinsa Douno, he revealed the deep esoteric meaning of the Paneurhythmy and the Teaching of the Master to many people. This confirms that in the person of Leon Moscona we have a devoted apostle of the coming new solar culture.

2. Developing the General Theory of Culture

After his return to Bulgaria in 1973 Leon Moscona continued his spiritual activities in the fields of culturology, methodology, musicology and religion. In each one of them, again with substantial personal risk, he produced important results, which influenced many people and gave courage, confidence and strong spiritual support. One of the main achievements of Leon Moscona in the period of 1973 –1981 was the creation of an Introduction to the General Theory of Culture. In the difficult years of the communist regime in Bulgaria Leon Moscona succeeded in developing a culturological apparatus, based on which he was able to present any human society as a socio-cultural organism. This objective scientific approach to human culture helped him and many other specialists in the fields of History of Art, Philosophy, Sociology, Human Sciences, Architecture, Town Planning, etc. to overcome the existing ideology and stimulate them for real scientific research in their areas of expertise.

As a result, hundreds of people were directly or indirectly affected by his culturological achievements.  Leon Moscona himself kept his interest in the General Theory of Culture and based on his scientific culturological research later developed a monumental project for the transformation of contemporary human culture into a celestial culture.

3. Revelation about the Book of Revelation

In 1982 Leon Moscona received a revelation about the Book of Revelation. He saw the "New Jerusalem, coming out of Heaven from God" as the image of the Kingdom of God with many mansions. For him the New Jerusalem appeared as a colossal cosmic-spiritual Zodiac-Mandala, which comprises all spiritual epochs in the Hindu-European cycle of evolution. The many mansions are the various spiritual worlds revealed by the world religions.

This interpretation came then for the first time on Earth and provided the basis for the metaphysical integration of all religions showing their place, role and significance in the spiritual history of humankind. Actually, using his rich culturological, spiritual and metaphysical expertise Leon Moscona developed his vision as the framework for the General Theory of Religion. This Theory opens endless possibilities for new spiritual discoveries, comparison between the religions and anticipation of the coming new cycle of existence in the reality of the Kingdom of God with many mansions. 

Leon Moscona's revelation about the New Jerusalem – the Kingdom of God with many mansions – is a blessing from Heaven for contemporary humankind as it reaches a crucial point in its evolution.  When understood and appreciated in full, the vision of the New Jerusalem defuses the so called "clash of civilisations", the arguments between the representatives of various religions about the Path, the spiritual practices, the status of the Founders of the world religions and other related themes.

Moreover, Leon Moscona's vision of the New Jerusalem takes the moral ground from fanaticism, dogmatism, violence and intolerance between the representatives of the religions. It replaces distrust with mutual understanding, tension with harmony and co-operation, destruction with building a Common Temple of the spiritual life of humankind.

Leon Moscona has presented his vision of the New Jerusalem in many lectures, seminars, workshops, spiritual gatherings and celebrations in various countries. He has influenced and inspired many people of all spiritual traditions to appreciate the coming new reality of the Kingdom of God with many mansions. He is like a citizen of the New Jerusalem on Earth who calls the people to enter into the Holy City through one or another of its Gates (the 12 Gates are the different Paths of the spiritual traditions leading to the same ultimate Divine Origin of Being). 

Now the city of Jerusalem in the Middle East, the cradle of three of the main world religions, is one of the most volatile places on Earth, charged with enormous destructive potential. Through Leon Moscona's spiritual work it could become the focus of a peaceful solution to the Middle East problems and a base for the new cycle of existence of humankind. Leon Moscona's revelation of the New Jerusalem is of strategic importance for the present situation in the world. His vision has to reach hundreds and thousands of people!

4. Building Bridges between East and West

In 1986, after finishing the manuscript of The Book of Resurrection describing the vision of the New Jerusalem, Leon Moscona left Bulgaria and went to Western Europe to open a new chapter in his spiritual journey in service to humankind. There also Leon Moscona worked as a spiritual messenger and a builder of bridges between various spiritual cultures.

The introduction of the Teaching of the Master Beinsa Douno, especially the Paneurhythmy, and his own Mandala of the Heavenly Jerusalem was an important spiritual task in the Mission of Leon Moscona in the West. At the same time he learned a lot from the Western spiritual culture and participated actively in building spiritual bridges between the East and the West.

Over the years he introduced the Paneurhythmy and the Mandala of the Heavenly Jerusalem in many countries and spiritual centres in Western Europe and U.S.A. They included England (London and Glastonbury), Scotland (Findhorn and Iona), Wales (Bristol), Ireland (Dublin, Glendalough and Donegal), Northern Ireland (Coleraine), Switzerland (Sebil - Zurich, Schweibenalp, Geneva and Biel), U.S.A. (San Francisco, Ohio, the Smoky Mountains, Chicago and Philadelphia), France (Marseilles), Germany and others.  All seminars, workshops and celebrations of Leon Moscona were living examples of building spiritual bridges between the Eastern European and Western cultures. Here it is interesting to note that when Leon Moscona went to the U.S.A. he was a representative not only of the Bulgarian spiritual culture but of the Russian as well (having spent 8 years in Russia and developing the bridge between Bulgaria and Russia).

The fact that the Mandala of the Heavenly Jerusalem included some of the great world religions of the East, such as Hinduism and Buddhism, extended the process of building spiritual bridges all over the world. It was not by chance then, that on August 17, 1987 in Glastonbury (England), when the whole world celebrated Harmonic Convergence, Leon Moscona led Mandala meditation and the sacred dance Paneurhythmy with representatives of all world religions from the five continents of the world.

 5. The Nine-Fold Path of the Divine Rainbow

Leon Moscona learned a lot from the Western European spiritual culture and from the culture of the U.S.A.  At the same time he was one of the brightest representatives of the Eastern European spiritual culture. Resulting from this organic synthesis came the Nine-Fold Path of the Divine Rainbow.  This Path leads through the whole vertical structure of the Universe, reaches the top of the Sacred Mountain and rises to the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth. It is a Path for the followers of all religions and spiritual traditions. They may start the journey to the New Reality from 'different corners of the Earth', from one or another tradition, but as the Path ascends to the higher spiritual worlds, they will come together because all different paths converge at the top of the Sacred Mountain. From there they will enter, as the core of the new enlightened humankind, into the reality of the Kingdom of God with many mansions. And of course the people on this Path will be led by their beloved Divine Masters, founders of the religions and the Personifications of the Divine Feminine, connected with them. 

As Leon Moscona states in his book The Second Coming "the Nine-Fold Divine Rainbow Path is a great metaphysical journey.  It is the Exodus of contemporary humankind from its earthly consciousness with all its attendant ills, up to the reality of the Kingdom of God.  As Moses led the Exodus of the Hebrew people from slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land, now the whole of humankind will be led by the Divine Masters and the Personifications of the Divine Mother to the Divine Kingdom of eternal Peace, Love, Freedom, Wisdom and Truth. The New Exodus will be crowned by the revelation about God's re-creation of the whole world.  It is a participation in the Genesis of the New Heaven and the New Earth and co-creation with God and the Divine Masters.  Entry into the 'Promised Land' this time is the act of bringing the reality of the Kingdom of God down on Earth and building all human life on it as a Divine Temple." (See p. 34 – 35)

The Nine-Fold Rainbow Path traced by Leon Moscona is a great contribution to the spiritual life of contemporary humankind. Moreover, in its completeness and wholeness, this is the Path which directly leads to the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth where humankind will start its new cycle of existence.

6. Revealing the Mystery of the Second Coming

It could be said that one of the main purposes of Leon Moscona's incarnation on Earth was to become an initiate of the New Coming of the Divine Masters and the New Gospel of the Divine Mother. According to Rudolf Steiner the Second Coming of Christ will be on the etheric level similar to the event which happened to Saul on the road to Damascus (Rudolf Steiner, The Gospel of Matthew, lecture 10). Leon Moscona also witnessed the Second Coming of Christ and the New Coming of other Divine Masters on the etheric level. He received initiation into the great mystery of the re-creation of the world by the "Lord Who sits on the Throne and makes all things new" (Revelation 21:5). For Leon Moscona this demiurgic act is happening through the Integral New Coming of the Divine Masters, who appear on the etheric level and reveal the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth.

For Leon Moscona, blessed by the Holy Spirit, and some friends around him, the Second Coming of Christ, the Coming of the Messiah, the New Appearance of Imam Mahdi, the New Coming of Ramakrishna, the Coming of the Enlightened One - Maitreya Buddha, the New Manifestation of the Master Beinsa Douno are already happening on the etheric level. This is a vivid metaphysical reality which replaces the existing field of expectation, unhealthy speculation and imagination with devoted prayer-meditative work and a new style of life. Now the people cannot see the Second Coming because they are immersed in the material life and do not have contact with the Holy Spirit. But when they link with the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth will reveal to them the New Coming of the Divine Masters in great power, majesty and glory.

The Initiation of the Holy Spirit, which Leon Moscona brings, transforms the expectations and speculations about the Second Coming of the Divine Masters into a wondrous spiritual reality of living contact with them. It opens enormous potential for witnessing, contemplating, merging and even co-creating with the beloved Divine Masters. As a result, the First Coming of the Masters is rejuvenated, reinforced and strengthened. At the same time the New Coming reveals the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth from where the Divine Masters appear and to where humankind will ascend to continue its evolution. Now we are entering into a special stage in the life of humankind of meeting the New Coming of the Divine Masters and following them into the Kingdom of God with many mansions.

7. Receiving the Gospel of the Divine Mother

Another crucially important contribution of Leon Moscona is revealing the balance between the Universal Masculine and the Universal Feminine energies. The spiritual journey of Leon Moscona started in 1971 in Moscow under the influence of the great Divine Guru Ramakrishna. From Ramakrishna Leon Moscona inherited a great love for the Divine Mother which, over the years, resulted in a whole New Gospel of the Divine Mother. According to the visions of Leon Moscona "the event of the Second Coming of the Divine Masters and the coming New Gospel from the Divine Mother are two aspects of one and the same mystery - the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth coming into existence from God the Absolute, the Source of Life".

Leon Moscona wrote a Chapter The Gospel of the Divine Mother in his book The Second Coming. He has given many lectures and seminars about the unique role which the Divine Feminine has in our time. The New Gospel of the Divine Mother is so important because "it helps us to bring the Kingdom of God down on Earth and to build life on all levels of Being as a Divine Temple - from the reality of the Holy City, through the various celestial worlds, to the life of humankind on Earth.  On Earth she transforms and illuminates the Earth itself, human culture, society, the family, and the life of the individual human being." (See The Second Coming, p. 123)

Moreover, the work of Leon Moscona is connected with participation in the Divine Wedding in Heaven (Revelation 19: 9), which means to co-create with the Divine Masters and the personifications of the Divine Feminine for the establishment of the Kingdom of God on Earth. His work aims at a harmonious and organic balance between all polarities in human life on Earth thus producing the most appropriate Middle Way for our time (corresponding to the well-known Middle Way in Buddhism).  As a result, the work of Leon Moscona helps to alleviate the contradictions and tensions between the feminist movement and the existing patriarchal religions.

8. Opening the Mystery School of the Holy Spirit

The presentations of the book The Second Coming in Ireland (1995) and later in Bulgaria (1998) became important spiritual events. Soon after this Leon Moscona opened the Mystery School of the Holy Spirit. In it he gave more than 250 lectures, led many prayer-meditations and spiritual ceremonies, organised seven Summer Assemblies in the sacred Bulgarian Mountain of Rila and other important spiritual events. The main purpose of this Mystery School was to introduce the Initiation of the Holy Spirit as a new fruit from the Tree of Life.

The new Initiation of the Holy Spirit is a conclusion of the whole Hindu-European Cycle and an opening of the New Cycle of Existence in the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth. The work of this Mystery School follows three main directions of spiritual activity:

– metaphysical (ascending to the highest Divine world, based on the Nine-Fold Rainbow Path),
– metahistorical  (gathering the fruits from the Hindu-European cycle, based on the Mandala of the Heavenly Jerusalem and witnessing the main predictions in the world religions about the End of Time, the Judgement, the New Coming of the Divine Masters and others.) 
– metacultural (the Return to the Kingdom of God with many mansions, participation in the Divine Wedding in Heaven and establishing the new celestial culture on Earth).

The description of the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth on an archetypal level is a theme to which Leon Moscona consecrates many lectures, seminars and workshops. It is one of the main themes of his books The Second Coming and The Testament of Truth - Manifesto. With great reason it could be said that Leon Moscona is a herald of the New Reality. Blessed by the Holy Spirit Leon Moscona gathers the spiritual fruits from the outgoing Hindu-European Cycle of evolution and envisages the coming New Cycle of existence in the new reality. I am a witness and a participant in his inspiring work with a spiritual group where he aims to transform the main archetypes in the Holy Scriptures of the world religions into fields of living spiritual energy. His work is the most innovative and spiritually advanced that I have ever known.

The existence of any Mystery School on Earth is an important spiritual phenomenon in the life of humankind. The opening of a Mystery School of the Spirit as a Divine laboratory for preparation of humankind for the new cycle of existence in the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth is of extraordinary importance.

Every Mystery School requires human beings who are already well advanced on the spiritual path. Now with the task of humankind's ascent to higher states of consciousness the number of such human beings has to increase significantly. In this regard the Mystery School of the Spirit founded by Leon Moscona could help tremendously for reaching the important 'critical mass' needed for the shift of humankind to a new level of consciousness and ultimately to the new cycle of existence.

Until now the work of Leon Moscona's Mystery School was undertaken by a relatively small international spiritual group. In the near future, however, it is highly desirable to open more branches of the Mystery School in Bulgaria and abroad. In the past five years the content, the programme, the style of life, the spiritual activities have been well defined, so now the Mystery School could open its gates to thousands of people world-wide.

 9. Initiating a Movement for the Realisation of
the Testament of Truth

With all its new substance the work of Leon Moscona introduces a new spiritual paradigm and develops a new integral mythology for the spiritual life of humankind. His recent spiritual activity is activating a Movement for the realisation of the Testament of Truth. For this purpose he published the book The Testament of Truth – Manifesto. This book serves as programme for the Movement, the main goals of which are social renovation, cultural renaissance, spiritual awakening and Divine illumination. According to Leon Moscona "the influence of the Dark forces on humankind makes contemporary human culture like a Babylonian civilisation. The Movement for the realisation of the Testament of Truth, based on the new spiritual paradigm will help humankind to overcome the existing "Babylonian civilisation" (the fall of which is depicted dramatically in Chapter 18 of the Book of Revelation) and to start building the New Jerusalem civilisation (envisaged powerfully and inspiringly in Chapters 21 and 22)!  Obviously the establishment of the New Jerusalem civilisation is the key to humankind's survival in the long term and to the realisation of its Divine purpose as mediator between Heaven and Earth envisaged from the beginning of Time." (The New Spiritual Paradigm, p.6)

Now there is interest in the Movement in Bulgaria, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany and other countries. Obviously this Movement has to spread all over the world in order for the 'critical mass' to be reached and the process of building the New Jerusalem civilisation to begin. Leon Moscona, through the Initiation of the Holy Spirit, gives the blueprint for building this new civilisation. This is why his books and lectures are like the spiritual programme for the New Millennium.

10. Leon Moscona’s Project for a Spiritual Council of Humankind

In order to bring the new impulse for the evolution of humankind and the Earth the Divine Masters and their Feminine Partners radiate from the Throne of God in the Highest Divine World. They are like demiurgic rays of Divine Light, Love, Wisdom and Truth emanating from the cosmic-spiritual Sun in the centre of the Universe, which penetrate all three worlds in Creation - the highest Divine world, the angelic world and our material world. All together they are the columns of living light upholding the reality of the Kingdom of God with many mansions. Radiating from the Throne of God, they form the whole of Creation as a Divine Temple where the Lord God is present. Humankind has to enter into this Temple and merge with the Living God. This is the return of humankind to the Kingdom of God with many mansions, where the enlightened human beings will live in the presence of their beloved Masters and manifestations of the Divine Feminine forever, co-creating with the Lord.

All spiritually awakened people on Earth have to participate actively in the Divine Action for the establishment of the Kingdom of God on Earth. In order to do this effectively we have to be in direct link with the Holy Council of Humankind in Heaven. For this purpose Leon Moscona proposes a special Spiritual Council on Earth, with initiates from all world religions. The initiates are those who have experienced Divine Truth and are in direct contact with the Divine Masters of their own tradition. They recognise the Divine origin of the other traditions and could guide humankind in the process of building the New Jerusalem civilisation. When they enter in deep prayer-meditation, they activate the three-fold structure of the Universe and merge with the Divine Masters. Thus they illuminate their spiritual bodies and start shining as light beings. When they gather together and have shared prayer-meditation and work, their collective light increases tremendously and they form something like a star above the earthly life.

So, if the work of the Holy Council in Heaven is a radiation from the cosmic-spiritual Sun at the centre of the Universe, then the work of the Spiritual Council of humankind (in contact with the Holy Council in Heaven) is a radiation from a shining spiritual star above the Earth. This star receives the new creative impulse from the cosmic-spiritual Sun, transforms it into the rays of Divine love, wisdom and truth of the new celestial culture coming on Earth and radiates it all over the world. Thus it enables humankind to overcome the negative aspects of the present Babylonian civilisation and to start building the New Jerusalem civilisation. 

Leon Moscona, based on his immense spiritual knowledge, revelation and mysticism is someone who could organise the Spiritual Council of Humankind.

In summary I am giving a bulleted list of the many and varied aspects of the life and work of Leon Moscona in his 33 years of devoted spiritual work for humankind:

• Spiritual Messenger – sharing the treasures of Eastern European spirituality with the West and vice versa;
• Planetary Citizen –  working always to develop a community spirit and building bridges between East and West;
• Light Leader – leading and participating in many seminars, workshops and spiritual celebrations in Western Europe and the USA; 
• Spiritual Mediator – working for the purification, transformation and illumination of the Earth and all Kingdoms of Life on it;
• Modern Mystic – merging with the 'One who makes all things new' and witnessing the genesis of the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth;
• Apostle of the Second Coming – witnessing the New Coming of the Divine Masters and the New Gospel of the Divine Mother;
• Great Initiate – receiving a new fruit from the Tree of Life - the Initiation of the Holy Spirit;
• Founder of a Mystery School of the Spirit – creating a new type of Mystery School as a Divine laboratory for the coming new human civilisation;
• Herald of the New Jerusalem Civilisation – initiating a planetary Movement; introducing the new spiritual paradigm in society, forming a Spiritual Council of Initiates from all world religions; 
• Avatar of Synthesis – gathering the fruits of the Hindu-European Cycle of human evolution and introducing the archetypal 'framework' for the New Cycle of Existence in the reality of the New Heaven and the New Earth.
